Meeting with Prof Prof. Zuo-Feng Zhang

Prof. Zuo-Feng Zhang, UCLA, one of the core faculties of D71 conducted a short course on Clinical and Epidemiological research study design icddr, b from 17th June to 19th June. The three days training focused on basic concept in clinical epidemiological study design, including hypothesis generating, retrospective and prospective study designs including cohort, nested case-control, case-cohort and case-control studies, causation, bias, confounding and interactions. Six internal fellows of D71 from Initiative for NCDs, icddr, b participated in the session. 

After the training, 11 D71 fellows including both external and internal fellows had a professional development session with Prof. Zuo-Feng Zhang in the initiative for non communicable disease department of icddr, b.  The initiative head and the project lead of D71 project Dr. Aliya Naheed was present in the session. The fellows shared their experiences with the D71 journey and showed their interest to execute the knowledge from D71 in conducting clinical research in future.
